Creative Endeavours

Creative workshops for wellbeing, connection and confidence

Offered by Theodore Community Link, and designed and delivered by local artist Tracey Hewitt to support wellbeing, creativity and connection.

Life gets busy

Creativity helps you slow it down

Want to learn how pushing a paintbrush can be as good for your health as a cardio session, while having more fun than half a dozen sugar-crazed three year olds in a ball pit?

Creative Endeavours is a series of four art and reflection workshops offered by Theodore Community Link, and designed and delivered by local artist Tracey Hewitt to support wellbeing, creativity and connection.

You'll paint, journal, fold, sketch and play while learning practical tools to reduce stress, build creative confidence and navigate life's twists and turns with greater ease.

WORKSHOP 1

Art Journaling for Wellbeing

Transform 'blah' into beautiful

Tracey's very own mixed media journaling process that begins with writing, and ends having transformed what’s weighing on participant’s minds into something bright and beautiful. (Maybe you actually can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse!)

Explore layering, mark-making and mixed media techniques to transform crappy feelings into colourful, fun pages.

You'll learn how to use acrylics, inks, collage, assorted mark making media, stencils and masks, understand how they play together and what makes a pleasing composition.

9am - 4pm Tuesday 22nd September 2026

WORKSHOP 2

The Everywhere Sketchbook

A creative practice for real life

Discover how to make art in your lap, with fun techniques and simple supplies. The Everywhere Sketchbook is where I make art in stolen moments. It's how I keep creativity in the picture when LIFE is happening hard.

You'll learn practical tips for putting together a simple, super-portable art kit for noodling, reflecting and recording. We'll explore ways to make creativity a regular (and super satisfying!) part of your everyday life, while learning simple techniques using pen, watercolour and paint pens.

You'll start by creating your own small handmade journal, and throughout the workshop we'll explore where to find little pockets of time in your day where you could be making art.

9am to 4pm Thursday 24th September 2026

WORKSHOP 3

Funky Folded Freedom Books

Permission to Play

Take off the technique training wheels and enjoy total creative freedom.

Light, loose, freeing and full of surprises, this workshop is all about creative permission and play. Splash, smear and scribble with wild abandon, then cut into the art you've made, reshaping it into a fun book that WANDERS! It will be fun, light, quick, and with an element of transformation, because that’s Tracey's jam.

9am - 12 pm Tuesday 29th September 2026

WORKSHOP 4

Charting Change

Create your own map

Bring the creative techniques you've learned and combine them with fun tools and exercises into an artwork that will become your personal map and manifesto.

A piece that will remind you what to do when you think you don't know, and what compass heading to follow when you feel lost.

There'll be art making, body compass calibrating, guided visualisation, and chats about changes

9am - 4pm Thursday 1st October 2026

WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH

At the end of the day, you'll head home with your own art in your arms, having learned techniques, tips and tricks from an experienced artist, and with a spring in the step of your creative confidence.

You'll have a permission slip to carry on creating tucked in your pocket (or at the very least written on your heart)

In addition to a new friend or two, you'll have Wayfinder coaching informed worksheets and printed exercises to refer back to anytime life throws you a curve ball, or your beautiful brain gets busy overthinking and stressing you out.

Meet Tracey

Artist. Coach.
Professional Permission-Giver

As an artist I've been exhibiting and teaching for about as long as the Israelite's spent wandering in the desert to reach the Promised Land.

My Wayfinder Coaching methodology is grounded in a blend of neuroscience and intuition that's been described as "Harvard meets Hogwarts".

I've been described by people as 'the calm in their storm', the ballast that 'stops the ship from sinking' (flattering, hey?) and as being afflicted by 'weird hippie shit' - which might actually be the descriptor I'm most attached to.

I'd love for you to join me at one - or all! - of these workshops.
