8" x 8" Eco printed paper, pen, printed tissue, pastel and encaustic wax on cradled board
Earthy colours and the lustre of the wax surface make these pieces somehow soothing. Calming. 
 
The eco print used as the foundation for these pieces was created by gathering fallen leaves, bark and discarded onion skins, layering those with treated paper, then rolled onto timber rods and boiled for several hours to transfer the tannins to the paper. 
 
The printed paper was then adhered to cradled board, and embedded under layers of encaustic wax, which gives the artwork a rich, warm lustre. 
 
Unframed, ready to hang.
